Michael is an independent recording artist that was introduced to the dulcimer in 1995. Since then, he has used his musical abilities to expose people to one of the oldest folk instruments in America. Michael plays a variety of instruments and many musical styles, but specializes in mountain gospel, Appalachian based music, and hymns. Each year he performs throughout the southeast, and has won numerous awards with his captivating playing and arranging of old-time favorites.

In concert, Michael is  known and admired for his humor, energy, and faith.
